Enable Associated Domains Development on iOS 27 to prepare a development-signed app for Universal Link testing.

Step 1

Open Settings from the Home Screen

iPhone Home Screen with the Settings app in the third row
Tap the gray Settings icon on your Home Screen.

Before you begin: An unlocked iPhone running iOS 27, paired with Xcode, with Developer Mode enabled and Developer visible in Settings.

Find and tap the Settings app on your Home Screen. Its icon looks like a gray gear.

Step 2

Open Developer in Settings

Settings showing the Developer menu
Tap Developer in Settings.

In Settings, scroll down and tap Developer.

Step 3

Turn on Associated Domains Development

Turn on Associated Domains Development.

Turn Associated Domains Development on for local Universal Link development tests.

Your development-signed app must also declare the appropriate associated domains entitlement, including developer mode where required. This switch does not fix an incorrect entitlement or an invalid apple-app-site-association file.
